The information and documents made available through the Service are provided for general informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as a substitute for the advice of a licensed attorney.

2. No Attorney-Client Relationship

Your use of the Service, including communications with PaperVaults or its operators (via email, chat, support tickets, or any other channel), does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and PaperVaults, its owners, employees, contractors, or agents. No attorney-client privilege attaches to any information you submit to the Service. We are not your lawyers. If you require legal representation, you must retain a licensed attorney.

3. AI-Generated Content

Documents produced through the Service are generated, in whole or in part, by artificial intelligence and automated template systems. They have not been reviewed, drafted, or approved by a licensed attorney. AI-generated output may contain errors, omissions, outdated provisions, or content that is not appropriate for your particular circumstances or jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for reviewing every document for accuracy and legal sufficiency before signing, sending, or relying on it.

4. Jurisdictional Variation

Laws vary significantly between jurisdictions (countries, states, provinces, and even cities). A document that is enforceable in one jurisdiction may be unenforceable, illegal, or have unintended legal consequences in another. The Service does not tailor documents to your specific jurisdiction, and we make no representation that any template complies with the laws applicable to you. 5. Landlord-Tenant Documents — Special Notice

Without limitation, the following areas of landlord-tenant law vary significantly across jurisdictions and may affect the legal sufficiency or enforceability of any template generated through the Service:

• Eviction Procedures & Notice Periods: States and cities impose different notice periods (e.g., 3-day, 14-day, 30-day, 60-day), required cure periods, and procedural steps. Some jurisdictions require "just cause" for eviction. Improper notice may invalidate an eviction.
• Security Deposit Limits & Return Deadlines: Many states cap the amount a landlord may collect as a security deposit (e.g., 1–2 months' rent) and impose strict deadlines for itemized return (e.g., 14–45 days). Failure to comply may result in penalties of up to 2–3x the deposit amount.
• Rent Increase Restrictions: Some jurisdictions have rent control or rent stabilization ordinances that cap annual rent increases or require specific notice periods (30–90 days). Violating these rules may render a rent increase void.
• Required Lease Disclosures: Federal law requires lead-based paint disclosures for pre-1978 housing. Many states require additional disclosures (mold, bed bugs, flood zones, sex offender registries, shared utility metering, etc.). Omitting required disclosures may create legal liability.
• Habitability Standards: States impose implied warranties of habitability and may allow rent withholding or "repair and deduct" remedies. These obligations cannot be waived by lease.

6. No Warranties

The Service and all documents generated through it are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, legal sufficiency, enforceability, or non-infringement. PaperVaults does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any document generated will achieve your intended legal or business outcome.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PaperVaults, its owners, employees, contractors, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service or any document generated through it — including without limitation damages for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, legal disputes, judgments, settlement costs, or attorney's fees, even if PaperVaults has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Your sole and exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to discontinue use of the Service. In no event shall PaperVaults's aggregate liability exceed the amount you paid to PaperVaults, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

8. User Responsibility & Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge and agree that you assume all risk associated with your use of the Service and any document generated through it. You are solely responsible for (a) determining whether a document is appropriate for your needs, (b) verifying that the document complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction, (c) reviewing the document for accuracy and completeness, (d) the legal consequences of signing, delivering, or relying on the document, and (e) consulting independent legal counsel where appropriate.

9. We Strongly Recommend an Attorney

For any matter involving material financial value, ongoing legal obligations, employment, intellectual property, family law, real estate, business formation, litigation, regulatory compliance, or any dispute or potential dispute, we strongly recommend that you retain a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction to draft, review, or revise any document before you use it. The modest cost of an attorney's review is almost always less than the cost of an unenforceable document or an avoidable dispute.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to generate documents for any unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful purpose, or to harass, threaten, or harm any person. PaperVaults reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any reason.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PaperVaults, its owners, employees, contractors, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, judgments, settlements, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or relating to (a) your use of the Service, (b) your use or distribution of any document generated through the Service, (c) your breach of these Terms, or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after any such update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
